St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Primary School Love One Another

Awards

September 2015

23rd September 2015

I have finally managed to get Mrs Carlile to put a story I co-wrote with my friends last school year on the website.  She does need telling sometimes!  You just can't get the staff these days.  Anyway, she has added it to her new class page in English.  The 'English' link below should take you to that page so that you can read it.  Mrs Carlile has also said that her new class would like a new challenge from Mr. Donbavand!  I think I shall tweet him later and see if he has anything in mind!  We always love a challenge in Year 2.

Wow...what a fantastic few weeks back.  I have made 28 new friends who are all very happy and smiley.  Fidget the fish is also back in class with me.  She was very happy to see me.  I hope you have all had a lovely summer.  I have.  I have been on two holidays with Mr and Mrs Carlile and Bertie the crazy Jack Russell whilst Fidget went to stay with Mrs Parker.  I went to Dorset and went fossil hunting on the beaches on the Jurassic Coast and then I went camping to Lincolnshire. It was great fun.  I picked Fidget some beautiful pebbles from every beach I went to.

We are all a bit excited in Year 2 for 2 reasons.  Firstly, the new series of Doctor Who starts this weekend so Mrs Carlile has cleared her house of any family members in the evening so that she can watch it in peace!  The second thing is the Rugby World Cup which starts tonight. We talked about it in class and then looked at the Haka, which is always performed by the New Zealand team before a match.  We are also having a sweep stake in class...please note that we are not gambling....just for a bit of fun.  I got Tonga and Fidget got Romania.
