At St John the Baptist we believe that PE is a vital part in every child's physical and emotional development. As a school we aim to promote the enjoyment of physical activity and competitive sport. We also aim to  encourage all pupils to realise the importance of an active healthy lifestyle.

Through our delivery of the Lancashire Scheme of Work and continued involvement with the Sports Partnership, the school aims to provide a broad and progressive range of high quality PE provision and increased participation in sporting competitions. We also aim to widen access to sport and physical activities through the development of links within our local community sports clubs.

SPORTS PREMIUM

In recognition of the importance of Physical Education and School Sport, the government have provided additional funding to all primary schools to enhance the provision of sustainable high quality PE.

Welcome back to the start of another fun packed sporting calendar here at St John the Baptist R.C. Primary School. We are thrilled to announce that we have maintained our School Games Gold Award and are pleased to be continuing our commitment to the Burnley School's Sports Partnership. We look forward to accessing a wide range of sporting competition throughout the year and to providing our pupils with a broad range of quality PE opportunities.
