HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO ME!
Well, that was the best party ever! In fact it's definitely my favourite birthday so far...well, actually, it's my only birthday so far, but it's still my favourite. I can't believe how kind everyone was. I have so much cucumber, I don't need to go shopping again for 3 weeks! I had children popping in to see me in the day who had made me cards. Mrs Carlile tried to photograph everyone who came. Mrs McKeating cut out HAPPY BIRTHDAY STANLEY out of lettuce. It must have taken her all night! Mrs Bracken made me the best cake in the whole wide world. THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO CAME, BROUGHT PRESENTS, MADE CARDS, SANG, DID THE CONGA AND WHO WISHED ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I can't wait until my 2nd birthday!
WORLD CUP FINAL
After a shell-biting half an hour of extra time, Germany won 1-0 against Argentina. Well done to Ava, our class winner. Here is a photo of her supporting her Germany team at home. Commiserations to Edward who had Argentina (and to me who had Ecuador!).

Look where Mrs Carlile found me this morning! I was trying to play hide and seek in my plant but my shell got stuck! Ha ha ha. Mrs Carlile told me it's because I'm growing up now I'm 1 year old and that my shell is getting bigger.
Well, I can't believe that is the end of my first year at St. John's! I have had the best time in Year 2 and although I would have loved to have moved up to Year 3 with my friends, Mrs Carlile has assured me that I am needed more in Year 2 with her. She told me I am her 'right hand snail'! I think that means that I am very important and just like last year, I will be doing all the work again whilst Mrs Carlile puts her feet up with a cup of tea! Humph! A snail's work is never done!
I felt rather special this morning as I actually went to Mass for the first time. I'm actually not sure why I haven't been invited before as I am one of God's creatures, but never mind. Today I went as a little bit of a V.I.P. Each class had to take 2 things with them that reminded them of their year at school. Their first choice was me! Can you believe that? So there I was, taken down to the altar by Evie in the offertory procession with Jofli and Barnaby Bear, books, toys, photos and......STANLEY! I was so proud to be involved and it has ended my year perfectly.
I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday. I will be spending mine with Mrs Carlile and her family and hopefully I will be going on holiday with them and my mate, Bertie. She also tells me that I might be moving house over the holidays so I will be able to help her unpack boxes. Yippee, I love being busy. I can't wait to see Mr Carlile again. He quite liked me last time he saw me!
STAY SAFE AND I WILL BE IN TOUCH ON MY DIARY SOON. DON'T FORGET TO EMAIL ME ANY PHOTOS OF YOUR HOLIDAYS. KEEP IN TOUCH EVERYONE AS 6 WEEKS IS TOO LONG AND I WILL MISS YOU ALL.
