Last Day Celebration: What a lovely time we had at our Moving Up Party- we danced to all the children's favourite songs and played Musical Bumps, Musical Statues, Musical Chairs as well as Corners and Pass the Parcel. We cooled off outside with a game of Hide and Seek and Miss Barnes kept the fun going with the bubble machines!
July 2024- Harvest Time! It was so exciting to see what had grown. We found we had grown 39 potatoes in our two potato sacks and the children cheered each one out of the soil!! Our radishes were also fascinating for their different shapes and sizes. We have loved the joy and expectation of our vegetable growing and will definitely be doing more in 2026/2027. (We might even try again with carrots!)

June 2026- During our visit to church we had a practice at being readers!!
June 2026: We visited church and saw Fr Joseph leading the mass. He shook our hands afterwards and we walked around the church learning about the jobs that people do to help Fr Joseph and the church. March 2026: Our Class Assembly Superstars
Our children were wonderful in our Class Assembly and told everyone about Spring, Lent and how to be kind like Jesus. We are so proud of them.

Lent 2026: We are learning about the symbols and meaning of LENT. We mixed shades of the Lent colour purple to butterflies to symbolise the new life of Spring. It was magical when we unfolded them!
February 2026: We recreated some Winter Olympics events in Nursery... downhill skiing, figure skating, snow boarding. We were inspired by watching some clips on TV and then we made ski jumps and ice rinks and froze our Happy Land people so they could slide. We had so much fun and used so much comparative language and explaining.

February 2026: Igloo challenges.... Teamwork, finger gym and lots of fun!
February 2026: Physical skills this half term are all about developing balance. We made bridges and slopes outdoors and we've been practising squats on two feet (no hands on the floor) and one leg balancing indoors. We are also trying to stand from sitting without pushing up with hands....
February 2026: Making Ice Crowns for role play activities. We painted foil and cut it into ice shards. The fabrics helped us make capes and robes. Would you be a kind or cruel Ice King or Queen?
January 2026: Learning all about WINTER! We have read stories, looked at images, played with ice, mixed shades of blues, designed winter mittons and made Winter Art with silhouettes, colour mixing and glitter. Our Nursery class looks like an Ice Palace from The Snow Queen Story!
January 2026: We made bird feeders to care for the animals in our world. The local birds and squirels will enjoy eating the seeds and nuts. Look out for them in the Secret Garden and Church Gardens (of course we had a bit of exercise and fun while we put them up!)
