Pilgrims of Hope September 2025

On Friday 19th September 2025 our school received the 'Pilgrim of Hope Anchor'.
The anchor symbolises the hope and security found in Christ during life's storms and challenges.
It is a direct representation of Jesus and the cross, which is extended into the rough waves at the base of the logo, a reminder that faith provides stability and a path to salvation even in difficult times.
As a school we celebrated receiving the anchor by creating a whole school paper chain. In Year 5 we decided to write our prayers of hope for the year and each pupil and teacher in year 5 wrote their own prayer.
We then stood as around our classroom and took some time to prayer in silence before we connected our links to create the wonderful chain.
On Monday 22nd September 2025 the whole school had the opportunity for each class to visit the 'Anchor of Hope' in the school hall.
As a class we took our time walking through the waves and standing in front of the anchor of hope saying the words 'I am a Pilgrim of Hope'.
We then took the opportunity to prayer together in silence and ask God to listen to our hopes.
Our class thoroughly enjoyed this experience and will remember this moment forever.
