Children's University

Louise at Children's University has sent ways in which you can
gain credits whilst at home.

Faith at Home
PLEASE JOIN OUR WHOLE SCHOOL CELEBRATION PICNIC ON FRIDAY 8TH MAY FOR THE
75TH ANNIVERSARY OF VE DAY
This week we had planned to have a whole school picnic outside on the playground to mark the 75th Anniversary of VE day.
In your activities this week your teachers will be helping you know more about what we are remembering.
On Friday we would like as many families as possible to join with us and have a picnic at home to mark the day.
There are lots of things you can do and the Royal British Legion have some ideas too. You could:
- decorate your home in red, white and blue colours
- wear one or more of those colours for your picnic
- join in the Moment of Rememberance at 11am and pause for a 2 minute silence
- join in with the Nation's Toast to the Heroes of WW2 at 3pm by raising your glass and saying the official toast "To those who gave so much, we thank you."
Whilst it is sad that we cannot be together, we can show each other that we are one big St Johns Family by doing this on Friday.
Please take a photo of your family picnic and send it to Mrs Barker's email: NurseryB_Home@st-john.lancs.sch.uk with the title VE Day Picnic and I will share them all on the school community page of our website so you can see our whole school family having fun and marking this important day in our country's history.
