St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Primary School Love One Another

Awards

Tuesday 19th January

Good morning Year 2, I hope you are ok and having a good start to the week.

Thank you for another positive start to the week with all the fabulous work you are sending in! Please keep on working hard and trying your best! laugh

Below are your lessons for today. Remember to email your work to Year2_Home@st-john.lancs.sch.uk or put it on our school blog.

Everyday, please find time to log onto www.getepic.com/students using our class code (that was texted to you and it's on our school blog) and click on your initials, to access the books that I am assigning for you to read. I will add more books each week. They can be found in your mailbox! If you have read your assigned books, please feel free to read any of the other age-related books available on the website too. This website is what our school is using to monitor your reading at home, please make sure that you are reading regularly.

Maths

L.O. Divide by 2.

Please watch the learn screen below.

Then, I would like you to answer the questions from the worksheets. Please ONLY write the answers to the worksheets, you DO NOT need to copy out the questions. If you wish to print them, that is also fine.

English

L.O. Apostrophes for contractions

Please log on to Education City, click on 'Homework' and access the work called 'English 19/01'. Please work your way through the learn screen and activities.

History

L.O. To know the events of the Great Fire of London.

Please read through the slides below. In your home learning pack, in your History worksheet wallet, please could you take out Worksheet 2A and the story sheet. I would like you to carefully draw and colour a picture for each part of the story board describing what happened during the Great Fire.

On the back of your sheet, could you answer me these questions?

Where did the fire start?

When did the fire start?

Who owned the bakery where the fire started?

What was done to help stop the fire from spreading?

When was the fire put out entirely?

Have a great Tuesday!

Love, Miss Dewhurst x
