Monday 29th June

Good Morning Year 3!

Today is a special day for our church as it is the Feast Day of St Peter and St Paul. These were very special people that helped to spread the Word of God. Work your way through the power point below which is this morning's assembly.

I hope you had a lovely weekend, despite the rain! I'm sure you're all ready for another super week of Home Learning. I am in school a lot this week, so if i'm not replying to emails/blog posts immediately that's why.

Remember every day to:

-Read

-Practise your new spellings... they are on the blog!

-Exercise

-Play on TTRS for 20 mins.

Don't forget that if you want to apply to be a GIFT team member, your applications need to be sent to Miss Dewhurst by WEDNESDAY this week... Good luck!!

Have a lovely day, here are today's tasks...

Maths:

LO: To draw shapes accurately.

This week in Maths we are going to be looking at shapes. Today we are starting by focusing on drawing shapes. Follow the link below to access today’s video. Watch the video carefully, just like you would listen to me at the beginning of a lesson and then complete the worksheet I have attached below. You can either print it out or copy your answers into your workbooks. Remember… you MUST use a RULER and a PENCIL!!!

Draw accurately

This is "Year 3 - Week 10 - Lesson 1 - Draw accurately" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

English:

LO: To answer questions on a given text.

Find your CGP Comprehension books in your Home Learning Packs. Today I would like you to complete page 18-19 which are questions on the extract from ‘High Adventure’

Enjoy! Remember to send me your work either on the blog or on email.

RE:

LO: To explore the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Today we are going to think about the Sacrament of Reconciliation and how we can tell God we are sorry. You should have undergone this Sacrament earlier in the year and hopefully you will get to do it soon. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is when we say sorry for the bad things that we have done. First, you need to read the passage below (page 66 and 67). I would then like you to listen to the song by John Burland ‘Through my Fault’ I have attached it below. Think carefully about the words.

Once you have read through those pages and listened to the song, I would like you to write a prayer of sorrow. Below is an example of the prayer we say in church:

O my God because you are so good,

I am very sorry that I have sinned against you and with the help of your grace I will not sin again. Amen

Write your own prayer to God saying sorry for the bad choices and sins that you have done. Don’t forget to write Amen at the end.

John Burland song - Through my fault

Listen to it carefully and think about the words.
