St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Primary School Love One Another

Awards

Friday 15th January

Good morning Year 2, I hope you are all ok!

You have all done a super job with your online learning tasks this week. I am very thankful to you all at home who have been sending in your fabulous work everyday and those in school who have been working hard with Mrs Catley and me. You are all doing such a good job and making us very proud! Well done and keep it up! laugh

Remember to log onto www.getepic.com/students using our class code (that was texted to you and it's on our school blog) and click on your initials, to access the books that I am assigning for you to read. I will add more books each week. They can be found in your mailbox! If you have read your assigned books, please feel free to read any of the other age-related books available on the website too. This website is what our school is using to monitor your reading at home, please make sure that you are reading regularly.

Below are your lessons for today. Remember to email your work to Year2_Home@st-john.lancs.sch.uk or put it on our school blog.

Maths

L.O. Mental arithmetic test

Please click on the document below which will open up the 2019 KS1 SATS Arithmetic paper. Please write your answers to the questions in your red maths book. Remember to try your best, some questions might be a little tricky but just have a go! If you wish to print the paper, that is also fine.

English

Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation

Please click on the document below which will open up the 2019 KS1 SPAG paper. Please write your answers to the questions in your writing book. Try your best and have a go at all the questions. If you wish to print the paper, that is also fine.

Art

Please read through the slides below.

I would like you create me a Great Fire of London picture, just like the slides show you. However if you don’t have any chalk, please DON’T worry, you could use crayons, felt tips or paint. Then, when it comes to cutting out the buildings, if you don’t have any black paper, you could use newspaper or any plain paper instead. Be as creative as you like and have fun!

Have a great weekend!

Love, Miss Dewhurst x
