Happy Friday! We have survived another week of home learning and I couldn’t be prouder of you all! Your work has been fantastic, you are reading lots of books on GETEPIC and you are trying your best to complete your work to the best of your ability. One more day of home learning and then you can have 2 days off!

English
Reading comprehension and spellings

Today is Friday so we are going to do a reading comprehension and a spelling activity. You must do both of these activities.

  1. Please get your CGP Comprehension book from your pack. Turn to page 6 and read the text called ‘Why recycle?’ Then answer the questions on page 7. Take your time and think carefully.
  2. Log on to Education City and find your spelling lesson – ‘Spellings 22/1/21.’ Please complete the activity and the worksheet.

Maths
LO – To solve addition and subtraction multi-step word problems

Well done on solving the problems yesterday. Some of them were challenging! Today we are going to continue with looking at word problems. Watch the video below which will guide you through your learning. Pause the video when you need to answer a question. Then complete the worksheet below and mark it when you have finished.

Now, have a look at the picture slides below which tells you information about different climate zones around the world.

For your next activity, use the climate zones map and an atlas (use the internet if you don’t have one at home) to find out which climate zones the countries below belong to.
