Task 1: English (SPaG)
LO: To identify statements, questions, commands and exclamations
Hello from Mrs Miskell! I hope you have had a good half term, and I am looking forward to seeing you all back in school very soon.
In our lesson today we are going to look at identifying different sentence types.
Please open the powerpoint below and view as a slide show. You will need to read the information carefully on each slide. Some slides have a task for you to complete - you should complete the task before moving on as the answers are on the following slide - I will trust you not to cheat!
Once you have completed all the tasks on the powerpoint presentation, open the worksheet below. Copy out the sentences into your books and write next to each one whether it is a statement, command, question or exclamation.
You will also find some spellings to learn on the second powerpoint below. The first 2 slides are for my spelling group and the remaining slides are for Miss McBreen's spelling group - it is written on the slide. Please practice these spellings ready for when you come back into school!
