St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Primary School Love One Another

Monday 13th July

Good morning Year 2! I hope you are all ok and have had a great weekend!

Oh my goodness me, here we are, the FINAL week before the school holidays! This week is your last school week as Year 2 and as being an infant! I can't believe it, where has time gone?! surprise I bet you have grown so much taller from the last time I saw most of you. This week, we will be doing some lovely work that you could keep for the future, making memories and showing off how hard you have worked this school year and during lockdown. Please make sure that you are completing the tasks to the best of your ability, as you should always feel proud of the outcome of your work. I am in school everyday this week getting all your books and resources organised, including getting ready for the next Year 3's! It feels so strange not being able to see you all for our last week together, however I am so proud of each and everyone of you and have LOVED hearing from you and seeing your fabulous work over email and the school blog. Please keep in touch this week and carry on doing your best heart

Here are your learning tasks that I would like you to complete today.

Remember, you can email any work/ pictures you have completed to

I am consistently monitoring your activity on online resources. Please make sure you’re accessing your daily tasks and making time to exercise!

Monday 13th July     13/07/2020

Maths- Please log on to Times Table Rock Stars and play online for at least 20 minutes. Then, I would like you to complete the times table worksheet below. You can print it if you like, or just write the answers into your red book. (Go down the columns)

English- Please find your English KS1 Comprehension Book. I would like you to read and answer pages 30-31 ‘The Selfish Giant’ and pages 32-33 ‘The Monkeys and the Crocodile’.

RE- Respond.

Remembering, celebrating and responding to what we treasure and the world is God’s treasure given to us.

What have we learnt about in this topic?

  • The importance of sharing in God’s world.
  • God’s world is a precious treasure.
  • How we treasure God’s world.
  • How we thank God for the treasures of our world.
  • We are God’s treasure.

  • Make a promise paper chain. On small strips of paper (different colours if you like), write how you will care for God’s wonderful world. When you have finished, attach the strips together and hang it up.

Have a lovely Monday!

Love Miss Dewhurst x
