Good morning Year 6!

Happy Thursday - only one more day until the weekend! Mrs Baird and I heard from ALMOST everybody yesterday whether on Education City or on the BLOG. Let's see if we can ALL enjoy learning today and make it a 100% attendance day! (Somehow that reminds me of pizza!?) Get your trainers on and enjoy Joe Wicks this morning - I know many of you do. Then complete your work with a smile. Be kind!

Imagine you are King Shahryar. You have a brother who is also a king in the lands near to yours. Write a short letter to your brother (YOU are the King – so it will be in the first person, I) explaining how Shahrazad has kept herself from being executed by telling fascinating tales to you each night. Copy the way King Shahryar uses language, as you have read chapter 2 and can now recognise the way language was used in this time and place.

Click on the English folder on the Year 6 website page to find instructions and information on how to complete this task. Write your letter in your red ruled exercise book and send a photo of it to me or add it to today's blog.

Today you have a choice of 3 activities. You lucky people.

Firstly I would like you to click on the SCIENCE FOLDER on the YEAR 6 CLASS PAGE. Find today’s date and read through the slides. At the end you will see the 3 tasks. Choose 1 and send me a BLOG to tell me which one you did.

Option 1- Invent an animal. Draw it in your book and send a picture if possible. There is a worksheet to help you. 

Option 2- Act out a play- Parents permission needed. You will find the play script in the SCIENCE FOLDER on the YEAR 6 CLASS PAGE. Underneath the slides.

Option 3- Watch an animal documentary or ‘YOU V WILD’ by Bear Grylls on TV -Parents permission needed. Now go to the science folder for more details.
