St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Primary School Love One Another

Friday 22nd January

Good morning Year 4 you made it to Friday! Keep up with this amazing attitude at home and keep working hard! Try your best just like you would in school.

Remember you must blog me every day now! Click on the 2016 blog post to see all year 4 blogs and Mr Steele blog post to see mine. If you have trouble accessing and completing any work get an adult to email me so I can help. Parents/careers can email me on:

Keep reading (maybe use GETEPIC!) and logging into TT Rockstars (I have started a new battle!) daily also!

Have fun and keep active! Here are your tasks for today:

PE: 21 Day Active Bingo. Read the instructions on the PDF document below and enjoy being active! Don't forget Twitter or Facebook @StJohnsPadiham

Task 1: English

LO: To read 'The Ghost' chapter of Matilda and answer guided reading questions.

Read the forth chapter 'The Ghost' of Matilda. (This link is below).

Then answer the guided reading questions neatly into your exercise book. Do not rush this and keep going back to the text to find and support your answers. Blog or email me your work. Enjoy!

Click on the school videos link below and click on year 4 videos to find the video of me reading this chapter and explaining the questions.

Answer these question into your exercise books. Do not go on last slide until the end as these are answer so NO CHEATING!

Task 1: Maths

LO: Mental Maths

It's test time! Complete the two tests below by clicking on the links, but do not scroll down too far the answers are at the end to mark your own work! Blog me your results! Have fun! Print off or copy into your exercise books.

When you have completed the test, log onto TT RockStars and practice your times tables.

Task 3: Science

LO: To understand Food Chains

Complete and read all the information below and your task is at the end! Enjoy!

Copy and complete these tasks into your exercise books. I will blog answers later today!

Using everything you have learnt about food chains today, create your own at home. This could be drawn on paper, you could make a 3D one, you could use toys and make arrows. It is up to you. You need a Engergy, Producer (as many as you like) and a predator. Blog or email me what you have created, I cant wait to see Enjoy and get CREATIVE!
