ENGLISH
LO: To use a dictionary
LO To compose enquiry questions
For the next few weeks in English, we are going to explore a massively brilliant book called Holes by Louis Sachar. This fits with our American theme for this half-term as Holes is set in Texas, North America. If you are learning in school, you will have a copy of the book to read. If you are learning at home, there are links to an audio version of this book. The first one you can see below.
Go to the English folder on the Year 6 website page to find information and instructions for today's two tasks.
GEOGRAPHY
LO: To find out about the human geography of South America
Today, you will learn about human geography which is how people live in different settlements and communities and what impact they have on the world. Go to the Geography folder on the Year 6 website page to find interesting information about the population and life expectancy of people living in different South American countries and then follow the instructions for today's task.
