Good morning Year 2!
Here are your learning tasks that I would like you to complete today.
Please send me an email at least once or twice a week to say hello and to tell me how you're getting on, with any lovely pictures of work you have completed.

Maths- L.O. To add and subtract 2 digit numbers.
Log on to ‘Education City’ and access the class work named ‘Subtraction 02/04/2020’. Work your way through the learn screen and activities.
In your red maths book, please put the short date and objective at the top (underline both). Then, if you have a printer, please print and complete the worksheet on ‘Snakes on the Brain’, folding and sticking it in your book afterwards. If you haven’t got a printer, please copy the answers into your red book.
Remember- 1 number per square please!
English- In your yellow folder, please could you find your SATS 2018 ‘English grammar punctuation and spelling paper 1: spelling’ booklet and put the short date on the top. Then, ask an adult to test you on the missing spellings for each of the sentences provided (the spellings are on a sheet, tucked inside your booklet). Once you have finished, check that you’re happy with your spellings. (Please just do your best and have a go, that’s all that I ask!)
Once completed, you could go through and mark the answers with your adult (in pencil), giving yourself a total out of 20! If you like, you can blog me your score too! I’d love to see how you got on.
Geography- The Maasai Tribe
Please read the power point below. Then, on A4 blank paper, I would like you to create me an informative poster with at least 7 interesting facts that you have learnt about the Maasai Tribe. Use pictures to support your sentences.
*Please try and make some time to read to your adult at some point today and fill in your reading diary!*
Year 2, you are all amazing. Thank you for all of your hard work! Your pictures and messages on the school blog and email make me so happy
Love, Miss Dewhurst x
