Maths - Making 12
Click on the link - Subitising to 10.
Go and get 10 small objects. Give them to your adult. You close your eyes and your adult will put some of the 10 objects out. Can you subitise or do you need to count? Repeat for 5 different amounts.
Did you subitise?
Now let's make 12 using a part part whole model.
Draw 1 in your exercise book. Remember 12 goes in the whole (top) circle. Get your 12 counters out or 12 small objects and split them up into two groups (part part).
Write what two numbers make 12?

Now practise on your whiteboards first. Once you've cracked it, then I would like you to make a star for each member of your family. Decorate the stars and then give them out to your family. Did you make them smile?
