Task 1

Maths- SSM 2d shapes

Click on the link 2d shapes are everywhere.

I would like you to make some Snowflakes.

You need to find a large circle object and draw around. Cut it out.

Fold it in half. So now you should have a semi-circle.

Fold it again.

Now you are going to cut some 2d shapes on the folds.

Open it up and you have a snowflake. You can decorate your snowflake. 

Don't forget to take a photo.

Phonics

Click on the link - The alphabet song.

Now let's do some segmenting and blending. Click on the Power point underneath.

In your exercise book, write  'o  c  k' at the top on separate pages. Complete the activity.

Try and sound out the words. Some are tricky. 

Can you say, draw and write a simple sentence about a 'c' object? Don't forget:

Capital letter at the beginning ABC

Finger spaces 

Full stop

Literacy, C & L and EAD - Mr Gumpy's Motor Car

Click school videos underneath and find Videos for Reception 2020 - 2021 and listen to Mrs Collins reading you Mr Gumpy's Motor Car story. Listen carefully.

C & L - Talking partners - I would like you to discuss:

Who are the characters in the story?

What happened at the beginning of the story?

What happened in the middle of the story?

What happened at the end of the story?

EAD - Design a car. You can draw a car like Mr Gumpy's or just a normal car.

Don't forget to take a photo.
