Friday 27th March

Good morning Year 2!

Here are your learning tasks that I would like you to complete today.

Remember, you can email any work/ pictures you have completed to

Year2_Home@st-john.lancs.sch.uk

Happy Friday! Thank you so much to all the families who have emailed me with messages and pictures this week. I am most grateful and they have certainly cheered me up each day. It’s been a very strange week, but we did it! Thank you for your continued support and hard work. heart

Friday morning PE lesson with Joe Wick's, the Body Coach, live on youtube!

Maths- Please could you complete one of the times table worksheets from your pack (they should be inside your plastic wallet). Once completed, put the short date on the top of your worksheet and return the sheet safely into your home pack. laugh

English- In your yellow pack, please could you find and complete the second half your SATS 2018 Reading prompt and answer booklet. The text is ‘Lunchbox: The Story of Your Food’, pages 12-19.

Take your time when reading the text. Read each little section twice if you need to. Don’t try and make up the answers, they will be there to find in the text!

Once you have finished the second half of the booklet, go back and check that you are happy with the answers you have put.

RE/PSHE- Please could you create me a ‘Chase the Rainbow’ piece of artwork for a front window in your house, to help brighten your neighbours, passers-by and community spirit during this difficult time. You can draw, paint, colour, make, or build any size of rainbow that you wish. You could even write an uplifting message to go with it.

Many families around the country have already taken part in this beautiful gesture, so I’d love it if we could join in too.

When you have finished, please email me a picture of your beautiful rainbow on display as I’d love to see what you have created! (In the email, please let me know if you're happy for your picture to go on our website) I’ll be making one today too and I’ll put it on our class page when I’ve finished! I can’t wait to see the results!

*Please try and make some time to read to your adult at some point today and fill in your reading diary!*

Happy Friday, Year 2! I hope you have a lovely weekend, you deserve it. Thank you for all your hard work this week. You have made me one very proud teacher! I miss you all so much and hope that you are all managing to keep safe and well. heart  Love, Miss Dewhurst x
