Mother Teresa was made a saint by Pope Francis on September 4th 2016
The children enjoyed meeting Kathleen in church today. She is a member of St John the Baptist's parish. Kathleen was able to share photos and precious memories of when she met Mother Teresa in Calcutta.
In our R.E. topic this half term we have been thinking about being chosen and belonging to God's family. The Bible tells us that God is the light of the world. To experience how it felt to live in darkness, we wore blindfolds and were guided by our partners. It felt quite scary in the dark and we needed lots of help but it was easy to find our way in the light without a blindfold. We thought about how this was like having the light of God in our lives and how he guides us to make the right choices.
