St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Primary School Love One Another

Awards

Thursday 2nd April

Good morning! Have you still been exercising with Joe Wicks? I hope so because I have! I was so pleased with your work yesterday. 26 of you completed your work on Education City so a big well done to all of you. Let's see if everyone can complete it today please. Here's what I would like you to do:

English

LO - To select and use the correct homonym

Yesterday your work was based on homophones and today we are going to look at homonyms. Homonyms are words that are both spelt and pronounced the same, but have different meanings. I would like you to complete the classwork on Education City (both the game and the worksheet). Remember I am tracking who completes this. Can you think of anymore homonyms as a challenge?

Maths

LO - To solve a range of problems involving multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000

You've worked really well on this throughout the week. Click on the link below which will take you to your work for today. Complete it in your book and I will post the answers tomorrow.

RE

LO - To understand the arrest of Jesus

Look at the slides below. There are 2 Gospel accounts (Mark and Luke) which talk about Jesus' time in The Garden of Gethsemane which you need to read carefully. Many artists have created pieces of art to remember this time and I would like you to look at them and study them carefully. Can you understand what the pieces of art are showing?

We are going to focus on The Agony in the Garden by Giovanni Bellini and I would like you to have a closer look at the picture (there is one below or you can google it for a closer look) and answer my questions on the blog. Remember to go to grown up blogs and then Miss Hartley. I look forward to your responses!
