Good Morning Year 3!
I enjoyed reading your Nature poems yesterday, thank you to those that either posted them on the blog or emailed them to me. It was lovely to have the sun out!
Remember every day you should be:
- Practising your spellings (they are posted on the blog)
- Playing on Times Table Rock Stars for 10 mins
- Reading
Here are today's tasks...
Love Miss Townson
English:
Today I would like you to find the booklet in your Home Learning Packs called 'Year 3 Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar Test' and complete question 1-10. I will post the answers on the blog tomorrow .
I would also like you to listen to the below video on the Easter Story. We will be doing some more work on this story tomorrow.
Maths:
Warm up with 10 mins on Soundcheck on Times table rock stars!
Then log onto Education City and find the Classwork called 'Tuesday 7th April - Maths' and complete the division activities. It finishes with Play Live! Enjoy!
French:
As we are now in La Semaine Sainte (Holy Week) we are going to learn more about French Easter traditions. We'd like you to read the information on the webpage below to discover lots of facts and traditions about Easter in France and then use the link at the bottom of the page to answer the 14 questions on the quiz. Please post your scores on the French blog post so we can see how you have done.
The second part of your task is to create a poster to highlight some of the French Easter traditions. I love the idea of 'les cloches volantes' (the flying bells) and they would definitely be on my poster! Try to use some of the French words you have learned to label pictures on your poster. There are lots of ideas you could include, especially related to all the different foods.
Please blog/email pictures of your posters to Miss Townson and she will send them to me - I'm really missing your beautiful French work!
