Today you have lessons in Phonics, English, Math’s and Science. First though to start your Monday you have your online session with Miss Armstrong so make sure your ready this morning. I look forward to seeing you all on here.
Have a brilliant Monday, I wonder who will be my home learner of the week for the last time.
This week in phonics we are going to look at the different split diagraphs. I have included some of these in your spelling test for Friday.
Today we are going to focus on i-e, take a look at the image below for words where we would find the split diagraph.
I have attached a phonics video to explain how to pronounce the split diagraph and how to identify words that use them.
Once you have looked at this video please can you complete the worksheet below.
I have attached a piece of text, can you identify and read the words with the split diagraph i-e. Parents if possible please could you ask your child to read the text out loud and record them. If you can please send a video or a voice note of your child completing this task.

Once you have listened to the story, next click on the second link below for the focus of today’s lesson.
This week we are going to be looking at shape and patterns.
Task One: Can you create a pattern using things that are in your house? Make sure to take photos of your creations. How many patterns can you create and can you spot any patterns that you may already have in your house.
Task Two: Next can you then draw your pattern in your workbooks. Make sure to copy the pattern exactly the same as in Task One.
What group does the animal belong to?
Today we are going to look at the different ways in which we can sort animals into groups. Have a look at the images below the different names of groups.
Please then access the document below this is a pdf so you might want to click in the corner read aloud.
For your task today, I have used an interactive document, you can input your answers using your laptop, tablet or phone. Once you have answered the question make sure to click save and then send Miss Armstrong the document to the Year One email.
Task Two:I would then like you to design your own Bird house, you can draw this in your workbooks or you may want to make a 3D model.
Have a lovely day!
