Friday 12th February

Good morning my WONDERFUL, AMAZING AND FABULOUS Year 5s! We have made it. A whole half term of home learning! You have made me so proud and your work has been amazing. I have really enjoyed meeting with you every morning on TEAMS so thank you to you all for logging in. Next week is half term so there won’t be any learning set but you can still read and play on TTRS. I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Here are your lessons for today. Please remember to email or blog your work.

English
LO – To read, comprehend and respond to a climax.

Today is the final lesson on The Giant’s Necklace. Please click on the link and complete your lesson. You will read the next part of the story and see if your predictions were correct.

The lessons leave us on a cliff-hanger and we don’t get to know the ending of the story! You can watch the videos below which tells you the rest of the story. It is in 4 parts so make sure you watch all of the videos. It’s a bit of a shock ending! Hope you enjoy it.

Today is arithmetic day so I would like you to complete the arithmetic test below. There are 28 questions. Take your time and mark your work when you have finished so I can see how you have done.

Optional task

If you would like to continue, I have uploaded some puzzles below which you might like to have a go at. They are related to the Chinese New Year. I think you will like the second sheet as it is the same as the missing present and missing elf puzzles we did at Christmas!

PSHE
LO – To understand how to reduce, reuse and recycle.

For your task you have a choice. You may either:
