If you have trouble accessing and completing any work get an adult to email me so I can help. Parents/carers can email me on: Year4_Home@st-john.lancs.sch.uk
Keep reading (GETEPIC) and logging into TT Rockstars daily also!
Have fun and keep active! Here are your tasks for today, take your time and have breaks in between each task:
Task 1: English
LO: The Lorax
Watch, read and follow the video below of the Lorax story. You will need to keep going back to this for your work. Underneath the video is 3 activities I want you to complete into your exercise books. This is a fantastic story and you should be able to produce some amazing writing using the Lorax for inspiration.
Activity 2: The Lorax Writing Prompts
Choose two of the writing prompts below. Write a detailed paragraph into you exercise books to explain your answer.
Copy and complete the worksheet/picture below into your exercise books. The left side you need to write what the Land of the Lorax was like before the Once-ler arrived. On the right you need to write what it was like after the Oncer-ler arrived. In the middle you need to write what has stayed the same throughout the story.
Task 1: Maths
LO: Mental Maths
Its arithmetic time! Follow the video below of me explaining each question and complete the test into your exercise books! Pause at any time to work out an answer and write down any working. I will post the answers for you to mark on the blog later today so you can mark your work. Blog me your results! Have fun!
When you have completed the test, log onto TT RockStars and practice your times tables. Only a few hours left of the battle!
Task 3: Art
LO: To draw and create a valentines day card!
Time to draw! Have a go at following the three videos, drawing all of the valentine themed drawings. Then choose the one you like best and use it to create a valentines day card for someone in your family. Enjoy! I can't wait to see your masterpieces!
As Christians we observe Lent in different ways. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday (the day after Shrove Tuesday, or Mardi Gras). It lasts for 40 days, not counting Sundays, and ends on Easter.
During Lent, many Christians fast, or go without regular meals. They do this in memory of Jesus Christ, who is said to have fasted for 40 days in the desert.
We think about making Lent Promise, something to do during lent or give up to show our love for one another.
Have a go at copying, drawing and colouring in this poster so we remember the importance of Lent.
