Making our Doves of Peace - Showing Forgiveness and Friendship

In RE we are looking at God's treasures and how we can care for our world. We asked ourselves some 'BIG QUESTIONS' such as, 'Is this what God wants?

Our Advent Calendars

From December 2015 until November 2016, we celebrate a very special 'Year of Mercy'.  Year 2 have looked at how we can try to be more like Jesus during this time.  On our Advent Prayers for the Christmas Tree in the hall, we wrote about this special time and drew some fantastic images of the 'Holy Door'.

October 2015

This month is the month of the Rosary and we are looking at rosary beads and how we can use them.  Mary, the Mother of Jesus has her own special prayer, The Hail Mary, and we say this prayer a lot in the Rosary.

In year 2, we have decided to offer all our prayers to the Taggart family.  Tia is a much loved member of Year 2 and after visiting us on Monday morning and being given some rosary beads, she went to stay at Manchester Hospital to spend time with some very clever Doctors and Nurses.  Everyone at St. John's sends their love, thoughts and prayers to them all at this very difficult time.

During the first Autumn half term, we have been looking at God's Wonderful World.  We listened to the lyrics of the song 'What a Wonderful World' sung by Louis Armstrong and created pictures using our class netbooks to illustrate this.  We also read the story of Creation to help us understand all the beautiful things God created.
