Maths- L.O. Fractions- Make equal parts

Click on the link below, then click Week 1 and watch the clip ‘Lesson 1- Make equal parts’.

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/

Then I would like you to click ‘Get the activity’ next to the clip. If you have a printer, please print the activity sheets and complete them. If not, put the short date and objective in your red maths book and write the answers into your book. Please answer the questions as best and as neatly as you can, you can name or draw the items/shapes from the questions to help you, and number instead of tick. For question 7, you can use any 12 items, it doesn't just have to be counters. smiley

There is also a ‘Get the answers’ link to mark your work with an adult afterwards!

English- Please find your SATS 2018 English Reading Paper 2: reading booklet and English Reading Paper 2: reading answer booklet. I would like you to read ‘Cobweb Morning’ and ‘A New Home’, then answer and complete the rest of the questions about the texts in your answer booklet. Once completed, see if your adult can go through it with you to check your answers. Remember what I always say, just try your best, that’s all you can do.

RE: L.O. To know that Jesus promises to send the Holy Spirit.

Read the power point below.

They wondered who this Holy Spirit was and when He would come. Here is Jesus’ promise:

I will not leave you alone,

My Father will give you another friend,

The Holy Spirit will help you and guide you,

The Holy Spirit will show you how to live.

(Based on John 14:18-19)

Think about all the special jobs that you have done in school and at home, such as working hard, collecting the register, playing with friends, tidying up, looking after your brother or sister, putting away your toys, cleaning your room, looking after your pet, doing the washing up…

In your green writing book, please put the date and learning objective, then could you write me at least 5 sentences as to how the Holy Spirit is helping you each day. Try to give reasons why they are special jobs. Underneath your work, at the bottom of your page, please draw and colour a picture to support one of the sentences you have written. Here is your sentence starter:

The Holy Spirit is helping me when I…  because…

*Please could you comment on my post on the school blog today to let me know that you have finished your tasks, so I can record it in my book smiley thank you*

*Please try and make some time to read to your adult at some point today and fill in your reading diary!*

I am so proud of you, my little super stars!heart

Love, Miss Dewhurst x
