Maths:

LO: To add fractions.

Carrying on with the work we have been doing with fractions, today we are going to look at adding fractions. Follow the link below and scroll down to Week 2 – Week commencing 27^th April (don’t worry about the dates being different).

Click on lesson one – add fractions. Watch the video and then complete the activity I have attached below.

English:

LO: To write a character description.

To start off today’s lesson and refresh your memory, watch the film ‘Soar’ again. I have attached it below.

Then I would like you to look at resource 2c below. This is an example of a character description for Mara. I would like you to use your expanded noun phrases from yesterday and write your own detailed character description of Mara. Remember to use conjunctions too, for example: because, and, which, despite etc.

French:

Bonjour Year 3, I hope you have enjoyed the half term. This half term we will be looking at a familiar story written in French - see if you can guess what the stofy will be after completing the lesson today!

There is a video for you to watch, then we'd like you to look at the powerpoint and copy the phrases at the bottom of the slides saying the fruit is red/the fruits are red (singular and plural). There is then a task on the final slide - you need to write sentences to say how many of each fruit there are, using the phrase il y a.
