Good morning Year 6!
Here are the lessons for Monday 23rd March:

Log in to Education City to today's classwork in order to complete this starter activity.
LO: To understand a text
Inside the English folder you will find a comprehension called 'A sudden puff of glittering smoke'. This text matches our new History topic which we are starting today: AD 900 Baghdad. Answer the questions in your red ruled exercise book. I will post the answers tomorrow.
MATHS
LO: To interpret pie charts
Click on the following link to open a document from the testbase website called Pie Charts. Remember a pie chart represents the whole thing - 100%. Write your answers with workings out in your blue maths exercise book. Some of them are quite difficult! I will post the answers tomorrow.
HISTORY
LO: To recall information
Click on the link to watch a clip which introduces our new History topic:
AD 900 Baghdad. AD 900 is the year and Baghdad (the capital city of Iraq) is the place. Amazing discoveries and fantastic inventions happened then, in what is now known as 'The Golden Age of Islam'. Write in your red ruled exercise book all that you have learnt about AD 900 Baghdad. I look forward to reading your comments about our new history topic on the blog!
