For the past few weeks in Literacy, we have been learning about Letters and Authors and as part of Harry Potter week, we have had a very special visitor in Year 3. Meet Hedwig, who is our very own owl post box!
Each morning, we have arrived to school to find a letter from Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts, who has been telling us about what we will be doing each day. Year 3 have also been posting their own letters in the postbox throughout the day and we read them together at home time. Over the next few days, we will be writing letters to JK Rowling to tell her all about our Harry Potter week. We are going to send them to her and hope for a reply!
What a fun week at Hogwarts!
We all took part in a tri-wizard tournament in PE. We worked in our houses to do a broomstick relay, a frog jump-athon, a golden snitch shoot and a pass the golden snitch game. We were all team players and scored lots of points for our houses. It tired us out for the full day!
In maths, we practiced our measuring and made some potions. They were called Babbling Beveredge, Bloodroot Potion, Confusion Concoction and Elixir of Life. We really enjoyed today's lesson!
