Good morning Year 2, I hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend! 

Here we go, this is the FINAL week of virtual learning before we can all be back together in school again next week!  I am so looking forward to seeing all your smiling faces in one classroom again, the countdown is officially on! Woohoo! I bet you are all so excited to see your friends! Remember to check that all your uniforms and shoes fit before next week, so you can all look and feel wonderful 

If you are at home, please make sure you are logging on to our Year 2 morning meetings on teams every morning, so you can join in with the learning activities that are linked to your tasks and see your friends! I am looking forward to seeing you again on teams this week, the meetings are the highlight of my day!

Every day, please find time to log onto www.getepic.com/students using our class code to read one of your assigned books or a book of your choice. This is very important as I am using this website to monitor your reading at home.

Also, please log onto Times Table Rock Stars daily to practice your times tables, which will help to up your confidence and speed! This is also a great way to compete against your friends and earn lots of coins for your character!

Then, I would like you to answer the questions from the worksheets in your red book. You do not need to write out the questions, just answer the questions in the neatest way you can. If you wish to print the worksheets, that is also fine.

In your home learning pack, please find your CGP KS1 Comprehension Book. Please could you read the comprehensions on page 14 and page 15 and answer the questions. 

Once you have done this, please click on the link below which will take you to the Phonics Play game 'Picnic on Pluto'. In this game, you will sort real words from nonsense words. You do not need to log in, just click start. Click on phase 5 and choose any of the blends that you wish to practice. If you want a challenge, revise all phase 5 sounds. See how you get on, you can always try phase 3 or 4 if it's too tricky for you.
