PE Kits are needed every Wednesday and Thursday.
Letters and Sounds Homework usually comes home on a Monday and is due in the following Monday.
Black Homework Books are given out on a Friday and are due in the Following WEDNESDAY so that they can be marked for the following Friday.
Children are awarded TEAM POINTS each time an adult signs their reading diary to confirm that they have read at home. Reading diaries are checked daily and books are changed as soon as an adult signs that they have finished their book and school are confident that they understand what they have read. Comprehension is a big part of Year 2 and it is important that your child understands what they have read as well as reading the words.
RUGBY WORLD CUP 2015
In Year 2, besides working very hard, we like to have some fun. We all picked one of the 20 teams that are playing in the Rugby World Cup 2015 and Mrs Carlile has promised some prizes to the winning teams. The prizes will be bought during the October half-term, just before the final as Mrs Carlile will be visiting Twickenham Rugby Stadium and will pop into one of the shops there. So our prizes will be coming from the home of English Rugby...how exciting.
*PLEASE NOTE PARENTS THAT NO 'GAMBLING' HAS TAKEN PLACE. MRS CARLILE HAS NOT CHARGED THE CHILDREN FOR ENTERING THE COMPETITION!
