Happy Friday Year One!
We have one more week in school to go and then you can have a well deserved two weeks off! You have all worked super hard this week, I am so impressed with all of your pieces of work.
This week you have English and Math’s homework along with your reading books to complete this week. As we will be finishing for half term on the Thursday there will be no spellings.
Important information.
After half term rather than emailing your homework to Year1_homework@st-john.lancs.sch.uk you can bring your homework into school using your homework books. Please still access the school website for your homework details and weekly information to stay up to date. This will only begin AFTER half term, thank you for your engagement.
Thank you so much for the sponsor money you have raised for Pendleside Hospice. You should all be proud of yourselves, Well Done! We are still counting the money and will have a total next week.
Any further donations will be appreciated.
English
This week I have attached two Easter theme worksheets, for your first worksheet I would like you to have a look at the pictures and answer the two questions. We have done something similar to this in class when we have looked at the miniature castle. For your second worksheet I have attached a Fun Phonics Easter Word Search. Look at the sounds and see if you can find which words they belong too. Once you have done this have fun searching for the Easter Themed words.
Math’s
For your Math’s homework this week I have attached a subtraction worksheet to help you listen to the song below. This will remind you of what we need to do when we are subtracting numbers. Have a go at the Green Bottle Worksheet I have set a little challenge at the end of the worksheet to see if you can create your own subtraction question.
Please try your best, this is all Miss Armstrong can ask for. For this week please still email your work to Year1_home@st-john.lancs.sch.uk
Have a lovely weekend and I will see you on Monday.
Love
Miss Armstrong
