LO: To use common prefixes

Log in to Education City and complete the spelling task called: Prefixes Win Prizes.

LO: To use expanded noun phrases

First of all, watch the clip of Francis Brandywine again and pay particular attention to the descriptions from the narrator.

Today’s task is to write a description of the Quetico Park setting.

Using your expanded noun phrases from yesterday, you are going to write a paragraph to describe Quetico Park as if you are the boy from the clip. You MUST describe the sky, the lake, the woodland floor and the campfire remembering to use other senses such as sound and touch, not just sight. Use an online thesaurus to upgrade any language that you are not satisfied with, for example ‘wordhippo.com’.

Write today’s date and LO in your exercise book or on a word document and underneath this, write your descriptive paragraph. Read my example below to give you the idea of what I am looking for. Attach your work to today’s blog or email it to me.

L.O The Holy Spirit enables people to become witnesses.

We have been on a journey recently in RE. We have learnt about Jesus’ death, resurrection and his ascension into heaven. When he went to heaven, Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to be with his apostles. This event was celebrated last Sunday and is called PENTECOST.
