Our Year 3 children and their families attended the Presentation mass on Sunday to begin their Sacramental journey. The children took part in the offertory procession and then received a blessing from Father Joseph. Each child was presented with a holding cross as a special keepsake.
We visited church to explore signs and symbols linked to our belonging topic. Year 3 asked excellent questions and shared a brilliant knowledge when answering key questions.
We had a lovely visit from Mrs Schofield and Mrs Bracken today to meet the children and discuss the start of their Sacramental programme this year.
In Year 3, we enjoy participating in regular celebrations of the word in the school chapel, outside in the serenity garden or in our classroom with a focus in the Liturgical year or our behaviour focus. We say prayers, play music, reflect in silence, explore scripture and plan our worship tables carefully to match our focus. We really enjoy our celebrations of the word.
