Building Bridges

Year 6 children enjoyed constructing trusses to strengthen the decks of their bridges during DT lessons. After the trusses had been fixed to the decks, we tested our bridges to see how much weight they could hold. Amazingly some of the bridges made of only art straws could hold 5 kg!
