Have fun and keep active! Here are your tasks for today, take your time and have breaks in between each task:
Task 1: English
LO: To skim and scan a text
In this task you will need you read the text below about British Values and understand what you read, you should be able to identify main ideas drawn from more than 1 paragraph and summarise these.
Then you will answer the questions into your exercise books. You have to find and highlight a given amount of high frequency words in the text (if you can't print off just find using your finger on the screen). You will also identify how many there are in the text. The last questions you are asked to answer multiple choice questions by highlighting the appropriate evidence in the text. This text includes trickier vocabulary and a wider range of conjunctions and punctuation.
Task 2: Maths
LO: To multiply a two digit number by a two digit number
Today's Maths task is all explained in the video below by me, you have done this in school last term with me so hopefully you will all listen carefully and remember how to multiply a 2 digit number. Watch the video and complete the questions on the last slide into your exercise books, using the long multiplication method. Enjoy!
Bonjour! Today we are going to continue our learning about shapes, and we are going to use our increasing understanding of vocabulary to describe the shapes in a picture.
There is a video to watch which will explain the new vocabulary and how to complete the task. If you click on the link below it will take you to the school video page, the video is in the French Homelearning section and is clearly marked as year 4.
After watching the video, a link to the powerpoint is below - if you open the powerpoint you will be able to see the pictures I would like you to describe. Write your descriptive sentences into your books - and don't forget to blog or email pictures of your work!
