Monday 11th January

Good morning Year 2, I hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend. heart

Here we are at the start of our second week of home learning! I was over the moon with how much work I received last week and how well it was presented, thank you. Please keep on trying your best and keep in contact! laugh

Also, please make sure you log onto www.getepic.com/students using our class code (that was texted to you and put on our school blog on Friday) and click on your initials, to access the 2 books that I have assigned for you to read this week. If you have read them, please feel free to read any of the other age-related books avaliable on the website too. This website is what our school is using to monitor your reading at home, please make sure that you are reading regularly.

Below are your lessons for today. Remember to email your work to Year2_Home@st-john.lancs.sch.uk or put it on our school blog.

Then, I would like you to answer the questions from the worksheets in your red maths book. Please ONLY write the answers to the worksheets, you DO NOT need to copy out the questions. If you wish to print them, that is also fine.

English

L.O. To answer questions from a text

In your home learning pack, there is a CGP KS1 Comprehension Book. Please could you read and answer the comprehensions ‘How to grow a seed’ on page 2 and ‘Making lemonade’ on page 3.

RE

L.O. To know about the Gospels.

Please could you read the power point below and the information sheet about the Gospels. Then, I would like you to write the date and L.O. in your lined book and answer the following questions in full sentences.

How many Gospels are there?

What are the names of the Gospels?

How do the Gospels help us?

Imagine you are a Gospel writer, what would you want to tell people about Jesus?

Have a great day Year 2. laugh
