English- Creative writing- The way back home
Please watch the clip below.
A young boy builds himself a rocket and sends himself off to Space. He lands on a far away planet. His spaceship breaks down, a friendly alien lands and he breaks down too. The little boy parachutes to earth to get some tools to fix the ship. He gets back by way of a huge ladder, fixes the machines and then they both fly off.
Activity
In your green writing book, I would like you to write a diary entry for the little boy's adventure.
You could start your entry will start with
Dear Diary,
This morning, I decided that I would build a marvellous rocket to take me to space because I have always been fascinated by the glimmering moon, sparkling stars and mysterious planets.
Plan your content carefully, sequencing the events in order, from the beginning, middle and end of the clip.
This is a creative piece of writing, so please use lots of high-level adjectives and verbs. I expect your BEST joined handwriting too please.
Geography- Finding out how life is different on a farm and in a town.
Please work your way through the power point below.
(If you would like to print the worksheet, then please feel free).
In your green book, please draw a line down the middle of your page, at the top of the left column write 'On a farm', then at the top of the right column write 'In a town'. I would like you to list 6 differences between farms and towns.
Have a lovely day.
Love Miss Dewhurst x
