Happy Thursday Year 4! Happy world book day, I can't wait to find out what all your favourite books are!

Don't forget to meet me on Microsoft Teams at 9:35 every morning, to go through your tasks. It should be easy to join through the calendar by clicking on the meeting on that day, and you will be waiting in a lobby until I open the meeting. Please make sure you log on and join the meeting because I will be doing a register!

Task 1: English

LO: To retrieve and find information in a book

Read carefully the PowerPoint slides below to teach yourself all about World Book Day and why it is important. I have upload the PowerPoint below also if you want to view it a bit bigger. 

After you have done this, you will need to gather all the books you have and enjoy reading. (there is also GETEPIC to use while completing the task).

When you have done this you need to open the PDF document below and complete the 2 World Book Day scavenger hunt activities (they are all explained the the worksheets:

1. Use the two tables to record the item you found in your book, then record the book you found it in, then record the page number and your reasons or more information.
2. Writing Superchallenge: In the spaces on the sheet, write out the answer to the questions about your favourite books. 

You can either print of the worksheets and complete the activities or copy the tables and sentences into your exercise books. Enjoy!

I would like to create a display of your art work around our reading corner. So I would like you to recreate the cover of your favourite book.
