Through the Decades
Year 4 have been on a 'Journey Through The Decades' this week.
We stepped into the shoes of World War 2 evacuees, learning about their first-hand experiences and imagining what they must have felt. We wrote postcards home and decided what we might pack in our suitcases.
Our focus turned to art, where we were inspired by Roy Lichtenstein to create our own pop art self portraits. The black outlines and colourful dots are synonymous with this art style. We also made some Swinging Sixties art with interesting patterns.
For English, we staged a debate about the invention of the Internet. Everyone used fantastic phrases and justified their opinions well. It was lots of fun!
We even had a go at making our own silent films, following in the footsteps of Charlie Chaplin, and had a premiere screening on Thursday.
