🧭 Year 6 Orienteering Adventure! 🧭
Well done to our fantastic Year 6 pupils who represented the school at the Orienteering Event at Towneley Hall.
The morning began with a helpful briefing followed by a practice session, where children developed their map-reading and navigation skills. They then took on the challenge of a timed orienteering course, setting off at staggered intervals and working hard to locate each checkpoint as quickly and accurately as possible.
This event provided a wonderful opportunity for children to take part in a more formal and organised competition, while still building confidence. Pupils demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination and problem-solving skills, showing great resilience as they navigated the course.
Orienteering is not only great fun, but also supports our aim of improving health and wellbeing, while developing important leadership, character and life skills.
We are extremely proud of the children who took part—you showed fantastic attitude, perseverance and excellent sportsmanship throughout. Well done! 👏🌳🗺️
