We are thrilled to report on an exhilarating Sports Day 2025! Every participant demonstrated exceptional teamwork and determination. St Teresa secured a commendable 3rd place, while St Cecilia triumphed in 2nd. However, the day was secured by St John Bosco, proudly taking home 1st place. Well done to all!
What a team we had! We are very proud of all the children who competed in this year's swimming gala at St Peters. Well done to: Roman, Lochlann, Zac, Oliver (2nd in freestyle), Ava (2nd in freestyle), Arlie (3rd in freestyle), Phoebe (1st in freestyle), Henry (2nd in backstroke), Emily (4th in backstroke), Felicity (1st in backstroke), Louisa (3rd in breaststroke) and Harriet (2nd in breaststroke). Harriet, Louisa, Phoebe and Ave also came 2nd in the Girls Medley relay! Overall the team came 4th which is a huge achievement!

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games GOLD Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success. Our sporting achievements this year include a wide range of sporting events and competitions such as; football, orienteering, cross country, cricket and swimming. With a lots of young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible. As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year. A special thanks to all the staff and volunteers who have made this possible. We look forward to applying once again in 2026!

We’re inviting all participating families to a community celebration event where we will recognise the fantastic efforts of our players, schools, and community teams.
This event will include family-friendly activities and showcase the wider HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) provision across the area, so it is guaranteed to be a great day with lots of activities on offer!
From 12pm, there will be a specific Beat the Street Prizegiving, and we will present prizes to our top-performing teams and individual winners.
Well done to Mia for making it through to the East Lancs Cross Country Finals! She represented Burnley School Sports Partnership and St Johns perfectly and we are extremely proud of her!
