• Spring Music Concert

  Our spring music concert was a great success on Wednesday, with all our performers enjoying sharing their new skills. Recorder club played a duet, choir shared a favourite song they learned for Young Voices, glockenspiels showed off the new notes they had been learning and guitars were in fine voice for a rendition of 'What shall we do with a drunken sailor?' A wonderful afternoon of music!

  A huge well done to our Year 2 Team who attended the Year 2 Maths Challenge this week. They came 1st out of 9 other schools and are now through to the finals at Turf Moor in May.

• Faith Friends Lent Raffle

  Henrietta is looking for a home, for Easter.  She has 2 creme eggs that are cosy, under her wings.  Henrietta is recyclable and reusable, and doesn't come with any packaging.  Now that has got to be good for our planet!  If you would like a chance at winning her, the Faith Friends are holding a raffle, for Lent.  The tickets are 50p a strip. What a bargain!

  If you would like to buy some tickets, please put your money in an envelope and pop your name onto the front.

  All money raised will go to a charity of the Faith Friends choice.

  We are delighted that our application to the Tesco Stronger Starts was successful and our project is now being put forward to a customer vote in Tesco stores up to the end of March.

   

  Every time you shop in store, you will receive a blue token which can then be put in the box of the project that you wish to support. Please can we ask everyone to support us and vote for our school, as the project with the highest number of votes will receive a grant which will help us to create a kitchen garden for our school and the local community. We will then be able to provide open days, workshops and opportunities to share skills, interact and have fun with local people.
